Every Clio figure below comes from clio.com: the live pricing page, Wayback Machine captures of it from 2022 to September 2026, the Clio Grow product page and the Clio Terms of Service effective August 4, 2026. Competitor figures come from each vendor's own pricing page.
How much does Clio Grow cost?
For a firm on Core or Signature it is a quoted add-on; for a firm on Elite it is part of the plan. The current pricing page answers "How much does Clio cost?" with "Clio's plans start at $49 USD per user per month", names four plans (Starter, Core, Signature, Elite) and prints no other number. Next to Grow it says "Contact your sales representative for pricing." That leaves the April 2026 page as the most recent public price list, and it is the fairest anchor for a quote today.
| Plan in April 2026 | Per user a month, annual / monthly | Clio Grow |
|---|---|---|
| EasyStart | $49 / $59 | Not available |
| Essentials | $89 / $99 | +$59 / +$69 per user, +$399 setup |
| Advanced | $119 / $139 | +$59 / +$69 per user, +$399 setup |
| Expand | $149 / $169 | Included, setup included |
Read the table two ways. Essentials plus Grow was $148 per user a month on annual billing, which is $1 less than Expand at $149 with Grow inside. So a firm that wanted intake for every seat was always better off on the top plan. Only a firm adding Grow for one or two intake staff, while the rest of the team stayed on Essentials, saved money with the add-on. The new names changed, the logic did not: Elite includes Grow, and Core and Signature pay extra.
Which Clio plans include Clio Grow?
The pricing page is explicit: Grow is "Included in Elite and Elite Work. Available as an add-on for Core and Signature." Starter shows no Grow at all. Elite Work is one of two quote based bundles; Clio says Signature Work saves over 10% and Elite Work over 18% against the products bought on their own. On Elite, account setup is listed as included, which is worth the $399 Grow setup fee a Core firm would likely see.
What you get with Grow on the current page: online intake forms, online appointment booking, automated client emails and intake workflows, referral reporting, Google Local Services Ads, email marketing and reputation management, plus the new AI phone, web and email agents. The Grow product page adds engagement letter generation, e-signature, intake stages and conflict checks at intake. Text messages from Grow are no-reply notifications and work only for US and Canadian numbers, according to the Clio help center, so two way texting with leads is not part of it.
How Clio Grow pricing has changed
Grow got more expensive twice before it went quote only, and the setup fee never moved. That history is why the third party figures disagree: the LawNext directory, last updated November 2023, still shows the 2022 plan prices with "Clio Grow ($49/user value)"; Lawyerist shows $59 with no setup fee; one review site calls $59 and $69 a standalone price, which Clio stopped offering in 2022.
| Capture | What clio.com said about Grow |
|---|---|
| January 2022 | Standalone Grow $49 per user a month billed annually, $59 month to month; $399 setup with the add-on |
| May 2022 to September 2023 | Add-on +$49 annual, +$59 monthly, plus $399 setup; self-serve setup optional up to four users |
| October 2023 to April 2026 | Add-on +$59 annual, +$69 monthly, plus $399 setup; included on the top plan |
| May 2026 | All prices except the $49 starting rate removed from the pricing page |
| August 2026 to today | Plans renamed Starter, Core, Signature, Elite; Grow included in Elite, quoted on Core and Signature; Grow AI billed per hired matter |
Grow AI is the newest line. The pricing page lists it as "Pay per matter hired with Grow AI's help", and LawSites reported the rate at launch in August 2026 as $25 for each converted lead, with the first three free for existing Grow customers. At 20 new matters a month through the AI agents, that is $500 a month on top of the seats.
Clio Grow vs Lawmatics and other intake software on price
Almost nobody in legal intake prints a price any more. The practice platforms that bundle intake are the exception, which makes them the cleanest benchmark.
| Product | Published price | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|
| Clio Grow | Quote; last list +$59 per user annual plus $399 | Included in Elite; needs a Clio plan |
| Lawmatics | Quote only | 3 user minimum; Essential capped at 500 contacts, Premium at 10,000 |
| Lead Docket | Quote only | A Filevine product, aimed at PI intake |
| Law Ruler | Quote only | Pro and Premium include up to 3 users; Enterprise has a 10 user minimum; 15% off prepaid annual |
| MyCase Pro | $100 per user annual, $120 monthly | Intake forms and a legal CRM inside the practice plan |
| PracticePanther Business | $89 per user annual, $99 monthly | Intake forms start on Business |
Run the numbers for a three lawyer firm with one intake coordinator. At the last Grow list price, adding Grow for the coordinator costs $708 a year plus $399 setup, $1,107 in year one, on top of the Clio plan. Adding it for all four seats is $2,832 plus setup, which is when a move to Elite starts to make sense. If most of what the intake desk needs is prospective clients picking a consultation slot, a separate scheduling tool for client meetings covers that part for far less than a per seat CRM. Our comparison of CRMs for law firms and the law firm CRM software guide weigh the full intake products against each other.
What the Clio terms mean for a Grow add-on
Grow is covered by the same Clio Terms of Service as Clio Manage, and four clauses matter for an add-on. Section 9.5 makes all charges final and non-refundable, "including without limitation all setup fees". Section 9.8 says removing users or products mid-term "will not result in any refunds or reductions in fees during the subscription term then in effect", so dropping Grow after three months saves nothing until renewal. Section 10.3 makes the unpaid balance for the rest of the term due at once if you cancel mid-term. And section 9.10 lets Clio change fees on notice by email or in the app.
Two practical rules follow. Add Grow at renewal rather than mid-term, so you can see the combined price before you commit to it for a year, and add it only for the seats that do intake. The full breakdown of plan prices and add-ons is in our Clio pricing guide.
Clio Grow pricing, other questions
Is Clio Grow included with Clio Manage?
Only on the top plan. The Clio pricing page lists Clio Grow as included in Elite and Elite Work, available as an add-on for Core and Signature, and not available on Starter. Before the 2026 plan rename the same rule applied to Expand, the top plan, with Essentials and Advanced paying extra.
Does Clio Grow have a setup fee?
It did whenever the price was public. From 2022 to April 2026 the Clio pricing page added a $399 one time account setup fee to the Grow add-on, and a 2023 tooltip said a self-serve setup was optional for accounts with four or fewer users. On Elite, account setup is listed as included. Ask for the setup line on your quote.
Can I buy Clio Grow without Clio Manage?
Not as a published option today. In January 2022 Clio sold Grow on its own at $49 per user a month billed annually, but the current pricing page offers it only inside Elite or as an add-on to Core and Signature. The Grow product page still mentions a Clio Expand plan, a plan name Clio replaced in 2026.
Can I cancel Clio Grow mid-contract?
You can stop it, but you pay for the term. Section 9.8 of the Clio Terms of Service says removing products or users during a term brings no refund or reduction until the next renewal, and section 10.3 makes the unpaid balance for the rest of the term due at once if you cancel mid-term. Setup fees are non-refundable under section 9.5.
Intake software decides how many clients sign. It does nothing about how long each matter takes once they do, and that is where most of a small firm's hours go: reading what arrives, drafting what goes out, keeping the deadlines. That is the work CaseAgent's AI legal assistant does inside each case file. For the intake side, our roundup of law firm client intake software compares the options by firm type.
One price for the whole firm
Grow signs the client. An agent can run the matter.
CaseAgent reads each file, drafts letters, pleadings and discovery responses, builds the chronology with citations back to the page and keeps court deadlines current. Solo $149 a month, Firm $399 for up to 5 users, Practice $899 for up to 15, or $74, $199 and $449 a month billed yearly, with no setup fee and no per user charge.
