MyCase Pricing: MyCase Cost per User on Basic, Pro and Advanced, and What a Firm Really Pays

MyCase costs $50, $100 or $130 per user per month on annual billing, and $60, $120 or $150 if you pay monthly. Unlike most of its rivals it prints every number. The catch is on the same page: the $50 Basic plan has no mobile app, no integrations and no eSignature, so most firms are really choosing between $100 and $130, before a $39 per user Accounting add-on and card processing.

Put your firm into the worksheet to see the yearly bill on the tier you would actually run, what monthly billing costs you extra, and what the same seats cost at the platforms that publish a price.

Short answer

MyCase pricing is $50 to $130 per user per month, and the working entry point is $100

8am publishes the full MyCase rate card. On mycase.com/pricing, read on 21 September 2026, Basic is $50, Pro is $100 and Advanced is $130 per user per month billed annually, and $60, $120 and $150 billed monthly. The FAQ adds a 10 day free trial with no card, "no long-term contract or setup fee", and that "any previously paid fees are non-refundable". A five user firm on Pro pays $6,000 a year, or $7,200 if it pays month to month.

Three things push the real number up. The feature grid on the same page puts the mobile app, every integration, eSignature, intake forms and workflows in Pro and above, so Basic is a billing and trust ledger rather than a practice platform. MyCase Accounting, which most firms want for three way trust reconciliation, is another $39 per user. And card payments run through LawPay, which charges processing on every transaction.

The MyCase rate card, word for word

The page is headed "MyCase Plans. Everything you need to run your firm" and offers a toggle between annual and monthly billing, with the annual side labeled "Save up to 16%". Each card shows the yearly saving per user in dollars.

MyCase plan prices as published on mycase.com/pricing, September 2026
Plan Billed annually Billed monthly Saving per user per year Card tagline
MyCase Basic $50 per user per month $60 per user per month $120 (16.7%) "Organize the essentials. Get paid faster."
MyCase Pro (marked "Most popular") $100 per user per month $120 per user per month $240 (16.7%) "Automate routine work. Scale the firm."
MyCase Advanced $130 per user per month $150 per user per month $240 (13.3%) "Deeper intelligence. Sharper insights."
MyCase Accounting (enhancement) $39 per user per month Not stated "Full financial clarity, built right in"
LawPay Payments (enhancement) $0 monthly fee Not applicable "No monthly fee, competitive processing rates"

"Up to 16%" is the rounded Basic and Pro figure; on Advanced the annual discount is 13.3 percent. Annual billing is paid upfront for the year, and under the 8am terms a mid-year upgrade or an added user can be prorated and charged the day it happens. Blogs and one exact-match site still quote MyCase at $39, $89 and $109 per user; those were the prices until spring 2026, and Exhibit D shows when they changed.

What Basic, Pro and Advanced actually include

The grid is where the price becomes real. Everything a firm touches daily outside billing, the phone app, Outlook or Google sync, QuickBooks, a signed engagement letter, an intake form, sits in Pro. Advanced is mostly AI, document automation and billing edge cases.

MyCase feature availability by plan, September 2026

Two lines deserve a second look. Court rules calendaring appears in Pro with an asterisk that reads "Subscription required", so the rules engine that computes your deadlines is a separate purchase even on the $100 plan; our legal calendaring and docketing software page prices those services. And the one AI feature that reads a whole case file, the Case Assistant, is Advanced only, which is why a firm shopping for AI is really pricing the $130 tier.

The pricing page, LawPay's pricing page and the 8am terms

Five costs that sit outside the plan price

01 · Accounting

$39 per user per month

Three way trust reconciliation and firm financials. Added to Basic it makes $89 per user, $11 short of Pro. Added to Pro it makes $139, more than Advanced without it.

02 · Card processing

No monthly fee, rate not printed

MyCase says "competitive processing rates". LawPay's own pricing page prints 2.99% plus $0.30 for Visa, Mastercard and Discover, 3.90% plus $0.30 for American Express, 1% for eCheck and a $7.99 monthly pass-through allocation. Ask for your schedule in writing.

03 · AI page overage

$30 per extra 5,000 pages

The Discovery Assistant includes 5,000 OCR pages per user each month, pooled across the firm. More costs $30 per 5,000 pages for the whole firm, and the pack "expires at end of subscription period".

04 · Court rules

"Subscription required"

Court rules calendaring is a Pro feature that needs its own subscription. The page does not say which provider or what it costs, and LawToolBox appears in the integrations list.

05 · Data in and out

Import and export are separate orders

The 8am terms say data import fees are set in your order, paid in full in advance and non-refundable. Data export is offered "as an Add-On Service" for "a separate Service Fee", also non-refundable. Neither is priced on the page.

Also in the terms

Fees for unusual use

"Additional fees may apply" for an exceptionally high number of users, an unusually high support ticket rate per agent, or use above published thresholds, after written notice and a chance to adjust or cancel.

On a five user firm running Pro with Accounting and $20,000 a month in card payments, the subscription is $8,340 a year and the processing estimate is roughly $7,340, so the payments line can be almost as large as the software. That is worth knowing before you compare MyCase to a platform that does not bundle a processor, and it is the same pattern our case management software cost guide walks through for the wider market.

Wayback Machine captures of mycase.com/pricing, April and July 2026

The $39, $89 and $109 you will see elsewhere

Search for MyCase pricing and several results, including a site with the product name in its domain, still print Basic at $39, Pro at $89 and Advanced at $109 per user per month on annual billing. Those were real prices. The Wayback Machine capture of mycase.com/pricing from 12 April 2026 shows exactly $39, $89 and $109 billed yearly and $49, $99 and $119 billed monthly. By the capture of 4 July 2026 the page shows today's $50, $100 and $130. MyCase repriced every tier in the spring of 2026 and much of the web did not notice.

MyCase prices quoted by third parties against the vendor page, September 2026
Plan, annual billing mycase.com, 12 April 2026 capture mycase.com, 21 September 2026 Difference
Basic $39 $50 +$11, or 28%
Pro $89 $100 +$11, or 12%
Advanced $109 $130 +$21, or 19%

For a five user firm on Pro, budgeting from the old figure understates the year by $660. The 8am terms allow exactly this kind of move: "We may change our pricing from time to time by providing prior written notice to you", with the new price taking effect "at the start of the next subscription period". The same company raised all three CasePeer tiers by $11 between 8 and 16 September 2026. Budget from the vendor page on the day you sign, and ask for a renewal cap in writing, because the terms state no notice period for a price change.

8am.com terms of service, Part I, read 21 September 2026

Six clauses in the 8am terms that decide what MyCase really costs

MyCase has no minimum term and no contract to sign beyond the terms of service, which is friendlier than most of the market. The money rules are still strict, and they are the same for every 8am product.

01 · Section 11

Fees are "final and non-refundable"

No refund if you cancel before the term ends, if the term is partial, if you "decrease your number of Authorized Users", if you downgrade, or if your use was limited "due to Account set-up time". An annual plan is a year's money, spent.

02 · Section 11

Automatic renewal, monthly or annual

Subscriptions "automatically renew on a monthly or annual basis" and the card on file is charged on the renewal date. Miss the cancellation and there is no refund for the new term.

03 · Section 11

Mid-year additions are charged now

On an annual plan, an added user or a tier upgrade may be prorated and charged the day it happens. Removing a user does not work the other way: the seat stays paid to the end of the year.

04 · Section 11

Price changes with written notice

New prices take effect at the start of the next subscription period. No notice period is stated. Processing fee changes can arrive in your monthly statement.

05 · Section 13

Cancel any time, effective before renewal

Through the account or by emailing support. The subscription ends "immediately prior to your next renewal date", then the account is closed and 8am may delete "all associated Customer Content".

06 · Section 13

No stated export window

Unlike vendors that give you 30 days after cancellation, the termination clause gives none. Pull your matters, documents and trust records out while the account is still live.

Compared with Smokeball or Neos, both of which lock a firm into a fixed term, MyCase on monthly billing is the lowest commitment product in this group. The price of that flexibility is the 20 percent monthly premium; the risk of the annual plan is a seat you cannot hand back.

MyCase vs the practice management platforms that publish a price

MyCase and PracticePanther are the only two mainstream US practice management platforms that print their whole ladder. Matching on features rather than on tier names is what makes the comparison fair.

Published US practice management pricing, September 2026
Platform Published price per user per month (annual) Where eSignature and intake start 5 users, one year
MyCase (8am) $50, $100, $130; monthly $60, $120, $150 Pro, $100 $6,000 on Pro
PracticePanther $49, $69, $89, $114; monthly $59, $79, $99, $124 Business, $89; mobile app on every plan $5,340 on Business
Clio Starter $49; Core, Signature and Elite "Get pricing" Quote Quote above Starter
Smokeball None printed Quote Quote
CaseAgent Flat per firm: Solo $149, Firm $399 for up to 5 users, Practice $899 for up to 15 ($119, $319, $719 a month billed yearly) AI agent in every plan; works on the matter file, not billing $3,828 on Firm, yearly

On matched features PracticePanther Business is $11 per user per month below MyCase Pro, $660 a year at five users, and it includes the mobile app on every tier. MyCase counters with trust by case, conflict check tracking and customizable reporting in all three plans. Our MyCase vs PracticePanther comparison goes feature by feature, and Clio vs MyCase covers the quote-only rival.

Read against the feature grid

Which MyCase plan fits which firm

Basic, $50

A solo who bills from a desk

Time, invoices, trust and online payments, all from the browser. If you need your calendar in Outlook or Google, or the phone app, you are already past Basic.

Pro, $100

Most small firms

Integrations, the app, intake and CRM, eSignature, texting and workflows. This is the tier the page marks "Most popular", and the one to price your comparison against.

Advanced, $130

Firms buying AI and document automation

Case Assistant, Discovery Assistant OCR, advanced document automation, the open API and split billing. Worth it if you will use two of those every week.

If what you want from Advanced is AI that reads the file and drafts from it, compare that $30 per user step with a flat per firm agent. CaseAgent sits alongside your practice management system, reads the matter, builds the medical chronology or the case brief with citations back to the page, and keeps deadlines current, on one price for the whole firm.

MyCase pricing questions buyers actually ask

How much does MyCase cost?

MyCase costs $50, $100 or $130 per user per month billed annually for Basic, Pro and Advanced, or $60, $120 and $150 per user per month billed monthly, according to mycase.com/pricing, read 21 September 2026. MyCase Accounting is a separate $39 per user per month, and card processing through LawPay Payments is charged on top of the subscription.

Is MyCase billed per user?

Yes. Every MyCase price is per user per month, and the pricing FAQ says your subscription rate depends on the number of active firm users on the account. Clients who log in to the portal are not users and are not charged. On an annual plan, adding a user mid-term may be prorated and charged the day you add them, under the 8am terms of service.

Does MyCase have a free trial?

Yes, a 10 day trial with full access and no credit card required, according to the MyCase pricing FAQ. If you cancel inside the 10 days you are not charged. Ten days is short for a firm that also needs to test a data import, so book the migration scoping call before the trial clock starts rather than after it.

Is there a setup fee for MyCase?

Not for the subscription. The MyCase pricing FAQ says no long term contract or setup fee is required, and guided implementation is included on every plan. Data migration is a different line: it is marked Limited on Basic, and the 8am terms say data import fees are set in your order, paid in full in advance and non-refundable.

What is the difference between MyCase Pro and Advanced?

Advanced adds $30 per user per month on annual billing and buys the 8am IQ Case Assistant and Discovery Assistant, advanced document automation, the Desktop Drive, split billing, rate plans, the work in progress report, the open API and full content search. Pro already has workflows, eSignature, intake forms, the legal CRM, texting, court rules calendaring and the mobile app.

Does MyCase Basic include the mobile app?

No. The feature comparison on mycase.com/pricing marks the mobile app, integrations such as Google, Outlook, QuickBooks and Zapier, custom fields, court rules calendaring, eSignature, workflows and texting as Pro and Advanced only. Basic covers case and contact management, time, invoicing, trust accounting, LawPay payments and a limited client portal.

How much is MyCase Accounting?

MyCase Accounting is $39 per user per month, listed as an enhancement on the MyCase pricing page, for three way trust reconciliation and firm financials. On a five user firm that is $2,340 a year on top of the plan, which makes Basic plus Accounting $89 per user per month, only $11 less than Pro before Accounting.

Can I cancel MyCase at any time?

Yes, in Settings or by emailing support, but nothing already paid comes back. The pricing FAQ says previously paid fees are non-refundable, and the 8am terms say cancellation ends the subscription immediately before the next renewal date, with no refund for a partial term, for fewer users or for a downgrade. Export your data before that date.

Is MyCase cheaper than Clio?

On printed entry prices they are close: MyCase Basic is $50 per user billed annually and Clio Starter is $49, the only Clio rate on its pricing page. MyCase prints Pro at $100 and Advanced at $130 while Clio quotes its Core, Signature and Elite plans. Compare the tier that includes the features you need, not the entry price.

Is MyCase part of 8am?

Yes. MyCase is sold by 8am, LLC, the company formerly known as AffiniPay, which also owns LawPay, CasePeer and DocketWise. The MyCase subscription is governed by the 8am terms of service, its AI features are branded 8am IQ, and payments inside MyCase run on LawPay Payments.

AI that works the matter, priced per firm instead of per seat

CaseAgent puts an AI agent inside each matter: it reads the file, drafts the brief, the chronology or the response with citations back to the source page, and keeps the deadlines current when a date moves. Plans are flat per firm, Solo $149 a month, Firm $399 for up to 5 users and Practice $899 for up to 15, so adding a paralegal never changes the bill.
