Every figure here comes from a document we read on October 24, 2026: the live nextpoint.com pricing page and its AI info page, Nextpoint's cost calculator and the blog post that explains it, the public Master Services Agreement and Customer Terms, and Wayback Machine captures of the pricing page from 2014 to 2024. We also searched USAspending.gov and state and local agendas for public purchases of Nextpoint and found none. We build CaseAgent, which does not host eDiscovery, so we are not bidding against Nextpoint for your productions.
How much does Nextpoint cost?
Nextpoint costs $262.50 per user per month at its published starting rate, so a four person litigation team pays $12,600 a year. That figure sits in Nextpoint's own blog post on its cost calculator, with the caveat "At the time of publishing. Subject to change. Some user minimums may apply." The same post said $250 and $12,000 until at least July 10, 2026.
| Users on your team | At $262.50 a user a month | At $393.75 (calculator default) | At the old $250 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 users | $6,300 a year | $9,450 a year | $6,000 a year |
| 4 users | $12,600 a year | $18,900 a year | $12,000 a year |
| 10 users | $31,500 a year | $47,250 a year | $30,000 a year |
Our arithmetic: users times the monthly rate times 12, before any annual prepay or volume discount, support plan or add-on.
The second column matters. The live cost comparison calculator on nextpoint.com pre-fills its subscription field with $393.75 per user per month, exactly one and a half times the starting rate. Nextpoint does not say which plan that is, so treat it as the likely price of a plan above the entry tier and ask which number your quote is built on. The pricing FAQ confirms there are "discounted rates for upfront annual payments and volume pricing for larger firms", without a percentage.
Nextpoint pricing plans in 2026
The pricing page lists three plans, each marked "zero data charges", and every one leads to the same button: Talk to an expert. There is no self serve checkout and no free trial.
| Plan | Pitched for | What it adds | Processing units |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | Small teams | Upload and processing, search, redaction and coding, file sharing, chronologies, deposition transcripts, trial prep and presentation | 40 |
| Advanced | "Best value in ediscovery" | Discovery analytics, review management templates, auto redaction per document, production templates, user permissions and activity reports | 80 |
| Apex | Custom enterprise plan | May include near duplicate scoring, search hit reporting, universal auto redaction, global account search, migration services, consulting | 120 |
Plans and features from nextpoint.com/pricing; processing units from section 7.1 of the Master Services Agreement. Units set processing speed, not the data allowance.
Is Nextpoint data really unlimited?
Hosting is unlimited on the per user plans, processing is not. The marketing says "Upload, process, and store unlimited data", but section 7.3 of the Master Services Agreement says each user based plan "includes up to two hundred and fifty (250) gigabytes of data that can be processed per account per calendar month", unused gigabytes do not carry over, and anything above that is billed as a data block priced in a Statement of Work. Data blocks expire after a year.
Two details make the cap easier to hit than it sounds. Processing is measured "prior to deduplication", on the full size of raw PST files and unzipped archives, and rounded up to the next whole gigabyte. So a 300 GB mailbox collection that dedupes to 120 GB still counts as 300 GB in the month you load it. If a big collection is coming, split the loads across two calendar months or price a data block before you start.
The agreement also describes data based plans, sold by data tier, with an overage of $15 per GB a month for anything hosted above the cap. Hosted data there includes documents in the trash that have not been purged and matters Nextpoint has archived after 12 months without access. Bringing an archived database back takes five business days and an hourly service fee. Nextpoint's own AI info page concedes the point in one line: "Monthly processing limits vary by plan."
What the Nextpoint agreement commits you to
Unlike most eDiscovery vendors, Nextpoint publishes its Master Services Agreement. The order of precedence puts your Statement of Work and Subscription Agreement above it, so anything below can be changed in your order if you ask before signing.
| Clause | What it says | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| One year, auto renewal | The term runs one year and renews for further one year periods unless either side gives notice at least 30 days before the end | Diary the notice date the day you sign |
| Renewal price increase | Nextpoint "may increase the Fees for a Renewal Period" with 30 days of written notice | Ask for a renewal cap in the Subscription Agreement |
| How you cancel | Only by email to client success plus an Account Cancellation Form, 30 days before the end date | Send both and keep the confirmation |
| Vendor exit | Nextpoint may end the agreement for any reason on 60 days of written notice | Keep a current export of live matters |
| Late payment | Interest at 2 percent a month; invoice disputes within 20 days or the charges are deemed valid | Route invoices to someone who reads them in week one |
| Leaving with your data | 30 days to request your data after termination; the export is "an additional charge to be paid in advance"; after that data "may be permanently deleted" | Get the export fee written into the order |

Nextpoint add-on and support prices
The seat price is the only number Nextpoint keeps off its contract. The add-ons are printed in it.
| Item | Price in the agreement | Note |
|---|---|---|
| AI transcript summaries | 1,000 a contract year included, then $5 per transcript | Runs on Amazon Bedrock |
| Search hit reporting | $5,000 per project, up to three runs | Self service after training on some plans |
| Hands on services | $275 an hour standard, $500 an hour priority | Phone support is also $275 an hour on standard support |
| Premium support plan | $10,000 a year | Dedicated success manager, 20 hours of migration services, 10 percent off services |
| Enterprise support plan | $25,000 a year | Senior staff and up to 75 hours of data services |
| Data hosted above a data cap | $15 per GB a month | Data based plans only |
Support plans renew on their own like the subscription, with 30 days of notice, and an upgrade starts a fresh 12 month term with no proration or refund. Standard support is email only, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Central on business days, with an eight business hour first response. If your team works trial weeks into the night, price the support plan in the first quote rather than discovering the hourly rate mid trial.
Nextpoint price history from 2014 to 2026
Nextpoint has changed models more often than its competitors, and comparison sites mix the eras. In 2014 it sold hosting at $25 per GB a month plus $95 per GB to import, with unlimited users. In 2015 it switched to case bundles: Bronze $500 a month for two active cases, Silver $1,000 for five, Gold $2,000 for ten, each plus $150 per GB to upload. From 2016 to 2019 the page said only "request pricing".
In the summer of 2018 Nextpoint moved clients to a flat per user rate, and in 2021 it printed the only per user prices its pricing page has ever shown: $125 per user a month for a single project with no minimum, month to month, and $250 for unlimited projects. From 2022 to early 2024 hosting stayed free but processing was "priced per GB" again. The current Essential, Advanced and Apex layout arrived in mid 2024, and the starting rate in the calculator post moved from $250 to $262.50 sometime after July 10, 2026, a 5 percent rise.
Nextpoint vs Everlaw, Logikcull and RelativityOne on price
The per user model is the whole argument for Nextpoint, so test it on your own team shape. Take four users and 250 GB of active data for a year.
| Platform | Pricing basis | 4 users, 250 GB, 12 months | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nextpoint | Per user, hosting included, 250 GB processed a month | $12,600 | Starting rate in Nextpoint's calculator post |
| Everlaw | Per GB of peak data a month, unlimited users | About $75,720 | GSA list, $25.24 per GB pay as you go |
| Logikcull | Per GB stored a month, or annual subscription | About $72,000 | Humboldt County paid $6,000 a month for 250 GB active |
| RelativityOne | Committed data volume | $268,490 minimum bundle | GSA list, smallest bundle is 3 TB |
Our arithmetic on public figures. Government and negotiated prices differ: the Justice Department buys Everlaw at $1.15 per GB a month, which would make the same 250 GB about $3,450 a year.
On list prices, a small team with real data volume pays far less on Nextpoint, which is exactly the buyer it was built for. The picture flips in two cases: a large team with little data, because Everlaw and Logikcull do not charge per seat, and any buyer who negotiates hard on a per GB platform, as the Justice Department's Everlaw order shows. Our Everlaw pricing page has a per GB cost checker, the Logikcull pricing post covers the county invoice, Relativity pricing reads the bundles from 3 TB up, and DISCO pricing works from a public order form at $40 per GB a month. All of them are compared on features in our guide to legal document review software.
Nextpoint also sells trial preparation and presentation inside the same seat, which matters for small trial teams that would otherwise buy a separate exhibit tool. One gap no review platform closes is evidence that lives on the web: a competitor's pricing page or a public post can change before trial, so firms that rely on one often keep a dated PDF copy of the web page from the day it was captured and load that into the case file. And the reading, the chronology and the drafting still have to happen after the review. On the litigation side CaseAgent does that at a flat firm price, $149 a month for one lawyer or $399 for up to five users, with no per GB charge.
Six lines to get on a Nextpoint quote
- 1
The rate per user and the plan it buys. Hold it against $262.50 for the entry tier and $393.75 in the calculator.
- 2
The user minimum. The calculator post now says minimums may apply. Get the number.
- 3
The monthly processing allowance and the data block price. 250 GB before deduplication is the default; anything above is priced in a Statement of Work.
- 4
A renewal cap. The agreement lets the fee rise on 30 days of notice.
- 5
The export fee at exit. The agreement says only that it is extra and paid in advance.
- 6
The annual prepay discount. Nextpoint offers one for paying a year up front but prints no percentage.
Nextpoint pricing, other questions
How much does Nextpoint cost?
Nextpoint says its subscriptions start at $262.50 per user per month, with the note that some user minimums may apply. Four users at that rate come to $12,600 a year. Its own cost calculator pre-fills $393.75 per user per month, which would make the same four users $18,900. The pricing page itself prints no figure and routes every plan to a sales call.
Does Nextpoint charge per GB?
Not on its per user plans for hosting, but processing is capped. The Master Services Agreement includes up to 250 GB processed per account per calendar month, measured before deduplication, with no carry over. Above that you buy data blocks priced in a Statement of Work. Data based plans also exist, with a $15 per GB a month overage above the data cap.
Is there a Nextpoint free trial?
The current pricing page offers a personalized demo, not a free trial, and every plan button reads Talk to an expert. Nextpoint ran a 14 day trial in 2014, and in 2021 sold a month to month single project plan from $125 per user, but neither appears on the live site.
How do I cancel Nextpoint?
Email [email protected] and submit the Account Cancellation Form at least 30 days before your agreement end date. Without that notice the agreement renews for another year, and Nextpoint may raise the fee for the renewal on 30 days of written notice. After termination you have 30 days to request your data, and the export is an extra charge paid in advance.
Are co-counsel and experts free on Nextpoint?
Yes, on the subscription model Nextpoint describes. Its pricing has said for years that you pay for users on your own legal team, and its AI info page says productions can be shared with opposing counsel, co-counsel and experts at no additional cost. Confirm in the order which logins count as users.
Is Nextpoint cheaper than Everlaw?
For a small team with a lot of data, usually yes on list prices. Four Nextpoint users at $262.50 cost $1,050 a month whatever the volume, within the 250 GB monthly processing allowance. Hosting 250 GB on Everlaw's GSA list at $25.24 per GB costs about $6,310 a month. Everlaw includes unlimited users, so a large team with little data can tip the other way.
