Everlaw Pricing per GB and Everlaw Cost for Hosting and AI Credits
Everlaw sells by the gigabyte and gives no public quote, but its federal GSA price list prints the rates. Active data is $25.24 per GB a month on pay as you go, falling to $17.42 on a 500 GB bundle and $10.41 on 5 TB. Archived data is $3.50. Users, processing and productions are included. The AI Assistant is billed separately at $0.0453 per credit, and large buyers pay far less than list: the Justice Department pays $1.15 per GB.

Everlaw from its GSA list, the cheapest of pay as you go and each bundle. DOJ rate from a 2026 federal order. Casefleet from casefleet.com/pricing, yearly billing. CaseAgent is a matter agent, not an eDiscovery host, priced per firm.
Not every matter needs a review platform
Most of a case file is a few hundred documents somebody has to read and turn into a chronology
Everlaw earns its per GB price when you are reviewing a large production for responsiveness and privilege. The rest of a litigation file, the pleadings, medical records, letters and the other side's production once it is reviewed, still has to be read, summarized and answered. CaseAgent does that inside the matter at one price for the firm. Pick a sample file and watch it.

The short answer
How much does Everlaw cost?
Every figure on this page comes from documents we read on October 19, 2026: Everlaw's GSA price list for schedule contract 47QTCA18D00C6 (published September 3, 2025, contract period May 15, 2023 to May 14, 2028), Everlaw's live and archived pricing pages, its Customer Terms of Service and Data Processing Addendum (both last updated October 1, 2025), and federal award records on USAspending.gov. We build CaseAgent, which does not host eDiscovery, so we do not compete with Everlaw for a review.
The rate card
Everlaw pricing per GB on the federal price list
Active data, per GB a month. Overage above a bundle is billed at the same per GB rate.
Suspended data
$3.50 per GB
Closed or paused matters kept on the platform. A 1 TB bundle is $3,340.05 a month, $3.34 per GB.
Early case assessment data
$8.06 per GB
Data you are culling before review. Bundles at 1 TB ($6.21), 10 TB ($4.43) and 50 TB ($3.55 per GB).
What the rate includes
"An unlimited number of users and cases" and "Unlimited data processing, productions, and exports", plus training and support. Staging drive capacity equal to your active bundle comes with it.
Read the measure carefully. The list says the subscription "is based on storage utilization, capturing the peak storage on the platform during the course of a month." Everlaw's customer terms add that "Any Documents that remain on the Service during any portion of a calendar month will be included in Customer's Platform Usage totals, regardless of when such Documents are removed." Deleting a data set on the 2nd does not take it off that month's bill. Plan deletions and moves to suspended storage for the last days of a month, not the first.
The federal list also carries two platform lines that a firm will not see: $5,771.41 a month for the Government Community Cloud and $17,518.89 for a private cloud instance. Those are FedRAMP hosting charges. Everlaw's commercial pricing page says subscriptions come "with no per-user, per-database, production, or upload fees", and we found no commercial platform fee. If a quote carries a base fee, ask what it buys.
What buyers actually pay
The Justice Department pays $1.15 per GB for a bundle that lists at $10.41
GSA list, 5 TB
$52,065
a month, $10.41 per GB
DOJ order, 5 TB
$5,750
a month, $1.15 per GB
Federal order 15JPSS26F00001637, running September 1, 2026 to August 31, 2027, buys a 5 TB active data bundle with 1 TB of staging drive under the department's enterprise agreement, and its description prices it at "$1.15 PER GB ($5750 PER MONTH)". The year costs $69,000. That is 89 percent below the list price for the same bundle.
No law firm gets the department's enterprise rate. The point is the size of the gap. A per GB list price is an opening position, and a firm that commits to an annual volume should expect to negotiate well below $25.24, especially for data that will sit untouched for months.

Everlaw AI pricing
How much does Everlaw AI cost?
Consumption
$0.0453
per credit, no commitment. 10,000 credits cost $453.
Monthly block
$362.72
a month for up to 10,000 credits, overage at $0.0363. Cheaper than consumption above about 8,000 credits a month.
What a credit buys
1 to 300
"A writing assistant task may cost 300 credits, while an individual summary of a 10-page document may cost just 1 credit."
Everlaw's own pricing page marks which features draw credits. Coding suggestions and machine translation on a single document carry "no credits", while batch work and Deep Dive, its natural language question tool over a whole case, do. So the AI bill tracks how much batch work your team runs, not how many people log in. Stored translation is priced the same way, with one credit for up to 750 characters.
One clause matters if you buy credits up front. An earlier version of the pricing page, archived in October 2025, said "Unused committed credit purchases will expire at the end of the term." Buy a monthly block only once you know your run rate, and start on consumption until you do.
The contract
Six clauses in Everlaw's customer terms that change the price
- 1
You pay the whole term
"Customer must pay for the entire purchased Subscription whether or not the Service is used." A case that settles in month three does not end an annual plan.
- 2
It renews unless you say no 30 days ahead
The subscription "automatically renews for a Renewal Term unless a party provides written notice of non-renewal at least 30 days before the end of the then current Term."
- 3
Prices can rise at renewal on 30 days notice
"Everlaw may increase or add new fees and charges" by giving "30 days' written notice before any Renewal Term." Ask for a renewal cap in the order form.
- 4
Any day in a month counts as the month
Documents on the platform "during any portion of a calendar month" count toward that month's usage, even if deleted the next day.
- 5
Dispute an invoice before it is due
Payment is due in 30 days. An invoice not disputed to billing before its due date "will be deemed to have been accepted." Late payments carry interest at the lesser of 1.5 percent a month or the legal maximum.
- 6
You get 30 days to take your data out
After the term ends the customer "may export, alone or with Everlaw's support, all Customer Data, within a 30 day grace period." We found no export fee in the terms. Diary the date.
Honest comparison
Everlaw vs other review and case tools on published pricing
| Tool | How it is priced | Published figure | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Everlaw | Per GB of peak data a month, users included, AI in credits | GSA list $25.24 per GB active, $3.50 suspended | Large productions with big review teams |
| RelativityOne | Committed data volume, AI included, mostly sold through service providers | GSA list $268,490.13 for 3 TB of review data. Relativity pricing | Firms already working with a Relativity provider |
| Logikcull (Reveal) | Pay per GB a month, unlimited users | No dollar figure on its page; 10 GB minimum. Logikcull pricing | Occasional small productions without eDiscovery staff |
| Nextpoint | Flat monthly rate per user, no hosting charges | From $250 per user a month, per its 2024 blog | Small teams sitting on very large data |
| Casefleet | Per user, storage above 5 GB per account | $30 or $140 per user a month yearly, $10 per GB a month | Fact chronologies on small to mid data sets |
| CaseAgent | Flat per firm | $149 Solo, $399 Firm (5 users), $899 Practice (15 users) a month | Reading the matter file, drafting with citations, deadlines. Not a review platform |
Casefleet from casefleet.com/pricing and Nextpoint from nextpoint.com, read October 19, 2026. More on Casefleet in our Casefleet pricing breakdown.
Where Everlaw wins: users are free, so a review with 30 contract attorneys costs the same as one with three, and processing, productions and exports are inside the rate. Where it loses: a small team with a large, slow matter pays for every gigabyte every month, which is the case per user tools like Nextpoint are built for. For the review platforms side by side, including TAR and defensibility, see our guide to legal document review software.
Many firms buy Everlaw for one large production and run everything else in their case management system. If that is you, the bigger yearly number is usually the practice software, not the review platform. Our case management software pricing hub has 35 vendors read from their own price pages, and the litigation page shows what CaseAgent does with the file between productions.

Six questions for an Everlaw quote
1
What is the per GB rate after culling?
Ask whether ECA data is billed at the lower ECA rate, and when it switches to active.
2
Is it case based or annual?
Case based has no long term commitment. Annual covers every matter but is payable in full.
3
What does suspended storage cost?
At list it is about a seventh of active. Closed matters should move there the week they close.
4
How are AI credits priced and do they expire?
Get the per credit price and the expiry rule in writing before you commit to a block.
5
Is there a renewal cap?
The terms allow new fees on 30 days notice before renewal. A capped renewal price removes that.
6
Can the client be billed directly?
On a case based plan, ask whether invoices can carry the matter number so the cost passes through cleanly.
Questions buyers ask
Everlaw pricing questions, answered from the source
How much does Everlaw cost?
Everlaw does not publish a commercial price. The only public price list is its federal GSA schedule, which charges $25.24 per GB a month for active data on pay as you go, $17.42 per GB on a 500 GB bundle and $10.41 per GB on a 5 TB bundle. Users, processing and productions are included in that rate.
Is Everlaw priced per GB?
Yes. Everlaw bills on the amount of data on the platform, measured as the peak storage during each month, with no per user, per database, production or upload fees. Active data costs the most, suspended (archived) data and early case assessment data cost less, and the AI Assistant is billed separately in credits.
How much does Everlaw AI cost?
On the GSA list, the Everlaw AI Assistant is $0.0453 per credit on consumption, or $362.72 a month for up to 10,000 credits with overage at $0.0363. Everlaw's examples put a writing assistant task at about 300 credits and a summary of a 10 page document at 1 credit. Single document features use no credits.
Does Everlaw charge per user?
No. Everlaw's pricing page lists unlimited user licenses as included, and the GSA price list says the subscription covers an unlimited number of users and cases. That makes Everlaw cheaper than per seat tools for large review teams and contract reviewers, and more expensive than them for a small team on a large data set.
Is Everlaw free?
Not for law firms. Everlaw for Good gives nonprofits, pro bono matters and journalists free access up to a monthly cap, with heavily discounted rates above it and a volume of free AI credits. Commercial customers buy a case based or annual subscription priced on data volume.
What is Everlaw's pricing model?
Everlaw sells either a flexible case based subscription with no long term commitment or an annual platform subscription that covers every matter. Both charge per GB of data on the platform. An earlier version of the pricing page said unused committed AI credit purchases expire at the end of the term.
Can I cancel an Everlaw subscription?
Only at renewal. Everlaw's customer terms say the customer must pay for the entire purchased subscription whether or not it is used, and that the subscription renews automatically unless either party gives written notice of non renewal at least 30 days before the end of the term. You then have 30 days to export your data.
How much did the Justice Department pay for Everlaw?
A DOJ order running September 1, 2026 to August 31, 2027 buys a 5 TB active data bundle at $1.15 per GB, or $5,750 a month and $69,000 for the year, under an enterprise agreement. The GSA list price for the same 5 TB bundle is $52,065.49 a month. Large buyers negotiate far below list.
Is Everlaw cheaper than Relativity?
Not at government list price for a mid sized matter. RelativityOne's GSA listing prints 3 TB of review data at $268,490.13 per subscription, while 3,072 GB on Everlaw's GSA list costs about $43,465 a month. Below 3 TB Everlaw has the smaller entry point, since RelativityOne's smallest public bundle is 3 TB. Negotiated rates differ far more than list prices, so compare written quotes for the same data volume.
How much does eDiscovery cost per GB?
Published per GB prices are rare. Everlaw's federal list runs from $25.24 per GB a month on pay as you go down to $7.49 on a 50 TB bundle, with archived data at $3.50. Casefleet, a lighter case tool, charges $10 per GB a month above 5 GB. Most other review platforms quote privately.
Keep the review platform for the production. Give the rest of the file to an agent.
CaseAgent keeps each matter in one place and puts an AI agent inside it: it reads filings, records and correspondence as they arrive, builds the chronology, drafts letters, pleadings and discovery responses with citations back to the page, and keeps court deadlines current. Solo $149 a month, Firm $399 for up to 5 users, Practice $899 for up to 15, or $74, $199 and $449 a month billed yearly, with no per GB charge.
