Clio Work Pricing and vLex Pricing for Vincent AI in 2026
Clio Work is quote only. It launched in November 2025 at an introductory $199 per user a month billed yearly ($219 monthly), and by late April 2026 the price was replaced with "Contact us for pricing". vLex, which Clio bought, last printed $399 a month for one user and $230 to $270 a user for small firms. Annual terms renew automatically and are not refundable.

Budget around $200 a user a month and negotiate down
The only Clio Work price Clio ever printed was $199 a user a month on a yearly plan. Quotes now start from a demo, so that number is the anchor to bring to the call.
vLex sold the same research engine for $399 a month to one lawyer, which made Clio's launch rate roughly half the old solo price. For a firm of three, $199 a seat is $7,164 a year before Clio Manage.

The pattern is the same at both companies. A printed rate brought in the first buyers, the small firm rate went to sales next, and the solo or entry rate went last. vLex's own Vincent pricing page now returns a 404, and its product page offers only "Book a Demo" and "Start a Free Trial".
Clio's terms let fees change "upon notice" by email to your account administrator or a notice inside the product, and renewals are charged "taking into account the expiration of any discounts". An introductory rate is exactly that kind of discount, so ask in writing what the second year costs.

One route costs nothing extra: many state bars still give members the Fastcase research library as a benefit. That is case law search, not Clio Work's matter analysis or drafting, but for a solo who mostly needs to pull and read cases it may be enough. Check your bar's member benefits page before you sign a per seat AI plan.

The pricing page says "Can I cancel Clio Work anytime? Yes." That is true of giving notice. Section 10.3 is what decides the money: on a yearly plan you pay for the year.

Quote the $199 launch rate back to the rep, and get the renewal rate in the order form, since discounts expire at renewal.

Pricing is per user. Ask whether paralegals who only read research results need a full seat.

Clio Work and vLex pricing questions firms ask
How much does Clio Work cost?
Clio Work is quote only. Its pricing page says it "uses per-user pricing" and sends you to a free trial or a demo. From its launch in November 2025 until at least March 30, 2026 the same page printed an introductory offer of $199 per user a month billed annually, or $219 billed monthly. By April 28, 2026 that had changed to "Contact us for pricing".
Is Clio Work included in Clio Manage?
No. Clio Work is a separate product with its own per user price. Clio Manage plans from Core up include Clio's operational AI (billing drafts, calendar entries from documents, client updates), but the research library, matter analysis and drafting in Clio Work are sold on their own or in the Signature Work and Elite Work packages that combine Manage and Work.
How much does vLex cost?
vLex no longer prints a price. Its Vincent AI pricing page, now removed, listed a Professional plan for one user at $399 a month and a Small Firm plan for 2 to 10 users at $230 to $270 per user a month in October 2024, with firms over 10 users quoted. By May 2025 the Small Firm rate had become "Contact Sales", and the live site now offers only a demo and a free trial.
How much does Vincent AI cost?
Vincent AI is quote only today. The last printed rate was $399 a month for a single user on the vLex Professional plan, offered with a free trial and no credit card. Since Clio completed its purchase of vLex in November 2025, the same research and analysis is sold inside Clio Work, which also moved from a printed $199 introductory rate to a quote.
Is there a Clio Work free trial?
Yes. The Clio Work pricing page offers "Try for free" next to "Book a demo", and Clio's sign up flow falls back to a 14 day trial where a free version is not offered. Clio's terms say free trials require a payment method for pre-authorization, so put a calendar reminder on the end date before you start.
What are Signature Work and Elite Work?
They are Clio's packages that bundle Clio Manage with Clio Work. Signature Work pairs the Signature practice management tier with Work, and Elite Work adds Clio Grow for intake and client acquisition. Clio says both include data migration, while Clio Work on its own includes live 24/5 support and training. Neither package has a printed price.
Can I cancel Clio Work at any time?
You can give notice at any time, but it takes effect at the end of the term you are in. Clio's terms of service, effective August 4, 2026, say that if you cancel within a term the entire unpaid balance for the rest of that term becomes due, with no refunds for unused service or removed users. On an annual plan, that means the full year.
Did Clio buy vLex?
Yes. Clio completed its acquisition of vLex, the company behind Vincent AI and the Fastcase library, in November 2025, in a deal reported at about $1 billion. vLex now describes Vincent as "part of Clio", and Clio Work runs on what Clio calls Clio Library, more than one billion legal documents from over 100 countries.
Is Clio Work worth it for a small firm?
It is worth pricing if your lawyers research and draft from documents every day and you already run Clio Manage, because the matter integration is the reason to buy it over a standalone research tool. At the last printed $199 a user, three lawyers pay $7,164 a year before Manage. A firm that mainly needs case files read and drafted can compare a per firm tool first.
What is the difference between Clio Work and Clio Duo?
Clio Duo was the name of the AI assistant inside Clio Manage. Clio's pricing page now says AI is included on Manage plans from Core up "as part of the plan rather than as a separate add-on". Clio Work is the newer, separately priced product for legal research, document analysis and drafting, built on the vLex library Clio acquired.
